Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how the SharpStats browser extension (the “Extension”) handles information. SharpStats is a map pick/ban advisor for FACEIT CS2 matches. We designed it to do its job while handling as little data as possible.

What the Extension does

When you open a FACEIT match page, the Extension reads the public match identifier (the match room ID visible in the page URL) and sends it to the SharpStats backend at https://api.sharpstats.uz to retrieve pick/ban and player analysis for that match. The results are displayed on the page and in a side panel.

What we collect

No personal information. The only data transmitted to our server is the public FACEIT match ID — an identifier that FACEIT already exposes in the match URL. We do not collect, store, or transmit:

• your name, email, FACEIT login, or any account credentials;
• cookies, authentication tokens, or session data;
• browsing history or activity on any site other than the match page you are viewing;
• any personally identifiable information.

The Extension declares no storage permission and keeps no local database of your activity. Player nicknames and avatars shown in the panel are read from the FACEIT page you are already viewing and stay in your browser — they are not sent to us.

Where the data goes

The match ID is sent only to the SharpStats backend (api.sharpstats.uz), which queries public FACEIT statistics to build the analysis. We do not sell, rent, or share any data with advertisers or third parties. The Extension contains no analytics, tracking pixels, or advertising code.

Permissions

• Host access to www.faceit.com — to read the match page and display the analysis on it.
• Host access to api.sharpstats.uz — to request match analysis from our backend.

Data retention

The Extension itself stores nothing on your device. Match analysis is computed on demand from public FACEIT data. Standard, transient server logs (such as request timestamps) may exist on the backend for reliability and are not used to identify individual users.

Children

SharpStats is a tool for FACEIT players and is not directed at children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the Extension evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above.
